How a Backyard Renovation Sparked a Greener Vision
Green Residences started in 2022 when two cousins—Surinamese Forest consultant Giani Razab-Sekh and Dutch cloud engineer Nikhil Razab-Sekh—took an aging duplex on Pirenjaweg and asked: ‘What if we retrofit instead of rebuild?’ Solar panels, rain tanks and a herb roof followed. Today the concept powers both Pirenjaweg Studios and the new Gongrijpstraat Rooms with ambitions to add 1 new property every 2 years.
